Great stuff coming from the dressing room/road studio this week, thanks to Kenny's musicians! Just wanted to share this picture that Nick took from his dressing room. Steel guitar is one of my favorite instruments. It's amazing to think that we can track overdubs anywhere...even on the road:)

Wonder Women of GOD Retreat

I'm very excited to have the opportunity to share my talent and testimony with 30 women tomorrow at the Wonder Women of GOD Retreat in Farmington Minnesota. This will be the first time that I'm had the chance to share my story of how I came to surrender my life to Christ. It all began with a new realization that the "Got Purpose?" bumper sticker on my guitar case had new meaning. It wasn't all about me anymore...it's so much more!

Last weekend was really special because it was the start of my album project, recorded at Blackbird Studios with producer Nick Hoffman. I owe everything to my producer for putting together a fantastic group of world class musicians and booking Blackbird! This week we're cutting vocals in Nick's studio, taking it one song a day to gear in on a perfect vocal.

ALBUM UPDATES!

I was literally bouncing in my bed as a listened to the rough tracks that Nick sent last night! I should've been sleeping because I had an very early rise to work, but I couldn't help myself. What an amazing experience to hear your music at full fledge production. Of coarse we have a long haul to the finish line; Master vocals, backing vocals, overdubs, mixing, and then mastering. Somewhere in there photo shoot, artwork, CD duplication, etc. We're going to start the master vocals this week at Nick's studio, once they're done, Kenny Chesney's musicians agreed to track the overdubs! Beautiful Blackbird!

We had an incredible tracking session Saturday! Blackbird Studios state of the art sound goes hand and hand with it's beautiful top notch ambience. I kept wondering if I'd bump into Martina McBride :)

It was an amazing feeling to have the best session players in the business tracking my songs. We had a ball in the studio! It was fun to share the guitar/vocal demos and hear them create full production masterpieces in minutes! Nick marveled me with his creative vision and professionalism in the studio. I'm so grateful for his commitment and talent in this project! I can't wait to share it with you!
