Thanks to all the folks that came out to my performances at Cheyenne this past weekend! I enjoyed meeting many new fans, and catching up with old friends from the past. Hey all,
Time got away from me, it's been over a month since my last blog. The album progress has been good, we're moving right along. Nick and I finished up the lead vocals over the Memorial holiday weekend. Overdubs and harmonies are almost done, thanks to Nick and the rest of Kenny Chesney's musicians and vocalists for their time and talents. Truly a gift from GOD. It's amazing to hear your songs develop into something bigger and more wonderful than you could ever imagine. Next week, Engineer great, Ben Strano will be mixing the album. Ben is a super guy with a great ear.

I had a great photo shoot this week with Goldy Locks, of The Factory Photography. CMT makeup artist Lorrie Bradshaw had me looking and feeling like a superstar while Goldy did an amazing job capturing me. I would highly recommend these ladies to anyone needing their services. They're professional and kind in every way.
So all and all, it's been a terrific ride and we're almost to the top!

Hey all,
Hope you had a wonderful Easter! Easter is one on my favorite holidays because Jesus gave all which makes me so thankful for his unending love. I enjoyed some time at home in Minnesota with my nephew Levi and niece Sophie. Four wheelers, fixing fence(they supervised) playing with horses, coloring Easter eggs, and best of all, watching Levi sing "Jesus Loves Me" for the True North congregation.

The album is coming along great folks! Nick sent this picture from their California dressing room of Jon Conley tracking guitar on my song "Finding Me"(Co-written with Todd Abke) It made me realise what a small town Nashville is. I met Jon Conley this year while serving on the worship team at HopePark Church. Currently on the road with the Kenny Chesney, Jon is doing great things with his talent. I'm thankful, just another blessing!

Sunday night was an incredible evening of worship music and ministery at the Nashville Rescue Mission! A very impacting experience for everyone involved. I was invited to join the HopePark Mission Band through my church. I felt GOD calling me to branch out and serve my community as well as his church. I'm so glad I did.
The Holy Spirit was certainly present as we ministered to about 500+ homeless men that evening! I'm looking forward to serving monthly with this great worship team!

I was literally bouncing in my bed as a listened to the rough tracks that Nick sent last night! I should've been sleeping because I had an very early rise to work, but I couldn't help myself. What an amazing experience to hear your music at full fledge production. Of coarse we have a long haul to the finish line; Master vocals, backing vocals, overdubs, mixing, and then mastering. Somewhere in there photo shoot, artwork, CD duplication, etc. We're going to start the master vocals this week at Nick's studio, once they're done, Kenny Chesney's musicians agreed to track the overdubs! We had an incredible tracking session Saturday! Blackbird Studios state of the art sound goes hand and hand with it's beautiful top notch ambience. I kept wondering if I'd bump into Martina McBride :)

It was an amazing feeling to have the best session players in the business tracking my songs. We had a ball in the studio! It was fun to share the guitar/vocal demos and hear them create full production masterpieces in minutes! Nick marveled me with his creative vision and professionalism in the studio. I'm so grateful for his commitment and talent in this project! I can't wait to share it with you!

Somebody pitch me!!!! These past few days have been very exciting and productive. Producing the album cuts, cutting work tapes for the musicians, and just enjoying the creative process! Nick is such a talent and a joy to work with!

Nick and I have been friends a long time. We're both Minnesota natives, and former members of the Twin Cities band, High Noon.

Nick stays super busy with Kenny Chesney and his current new project, The Farm...which is about to take off. All the reason I'm so fortunate and grateful he's taken me under his wing my album.

This is crunch week...ALBUM PRE-PRODUCTION! Listening to song pitches, rewriting potential album cuts, working through melodies, keys, etc. My producer Nick and I are thrilled for the opportunity to track at Blackbird Studios this weekend, and fortunate to have a great group of "A Team" players that have willingly agreed to give their time and talents! It's going to be an amazing project!!!
Thank you to everyone, friends and publishers, who submitted songs! I don't have an exact count, but I'd guess I've listened to over a 100. The majority of the songs on the EP will be my own, co-written with some of the greats in Nashville, including Scott Southworth, Nick Hoffman, Craig Winquist, Todd Abke, Debbie Hall, and Monte King.
